Altoona woman charged for leaving toddler in running vehicle while shopping

An Altoona woman has been charged after police say a toddler was left in a hot vehicle. According to a probable-cause affidavit, at about 5 p.m. Friday, 28-year-old Anna Stern entered a Dollar General store along North 4th Avenue in Altoona and left the toddler in the vehicle.
