
RIDGWAY, Pa. (WJAC) — The National Rifle Association National Silhouette Competition is underway at the Ridgway Rifle Club.
Some of the most accurate shooters across the globe attend this weeklong event.
On Thursday, the high-power events, in which the distances are five times longer than the small-bore events, will take place.
Both competitions will end in two declared national champions.
One member of the Ridgway Rifle Club spoke about how this event brings in people from around the world.
"We have shooters here from Canada, Australia, and there's, like, 38 different states represented right here,” said Ken Haupricht. “This is, Ridgway Rifle Club has hosted the National High Power Silhouette Championships for four years."
The event kicked off Sunday afternoon and continues through Saturday.
