UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State DuBois Small World Series champion baseball team will be honored at the Penn State football contest at Beaver Stadium on Saturday.
The DuBois team will be honored during the second quarter of the Nittany Lions game against Kent State at noon.
Penn State DuBois claimed the Small College World Series title in a 10-2 win over the Apprentice School in May at Showers Field in DuBois.
The city of DuBois was selected as the host city for the tournament.
The title capped a 31-11 season for Penn State DuBois, which had a 17-1 conference record.
The title comes after the baseball program was eliminated in the 1990s due to budget reasons. It wasn't reinstated until 2015.
