JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — A Johnstown native will be a contestant on a national reality show.
Christine Connors is a 2013 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and will be competing on season 3 of “Tough as Nails” on CBS.
Christine works as a welding inspector in California.
She says she applied to be on the show in March, and after a series of interviews and physical tests, she was selected in May.
Christine says she's excited to be on a show that gives blue collar and essential workers a spotlight.
"Being from a small town where you literally know everybody, and everybody knows you and coming and doing something as big as this; this is a national television show that I’m about to be on. It's crazy. I want to show people back home that if you have a dream, go chase it, do it."
The newest season of tough as nails premieres this Wednesday.
