WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. Mike Collins, R-Ga., paid tribute to a fraternity Wednesday that was involved in defending the American flag from protesters at the University of North Carolina.
A viral image circulating social media depicts members of Pi Kappa Phi surrounding a large flagpole and holding up the U.S. flag. The image was taken during a campus protest in which demonstrators attempted to raise a Palestinian flag in its place, according to freelance journalist Bryan Anderson.
Rep. Collins cheered the patriotic image via X, saying “God bless the brothers and God bless America.”
“May their Solo cups overfloweth,” he continued. Rep. Collins later contributed $125 to a GoFundMe organized to “throw ‘em a rager.”

Over 3,000 donors have raised nearly $100K for the frat as of Wednesday evening.

“Life-long (and more and more disgruntled) Democrat here,” another added. “You boys made my day! Thank you for having the fortitude to defend our country and our flag.”
Commentator Dave Rubin also said he would offer any members of the frat a “paid summer internship.”
