
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A Lancaster City man has pled guilty to charges related to the sexual abuse of a minor from 2016-2022, the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office announced Monday.
Arturo Aleman, 47, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison, plus five years of probation on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
The 14-year-old victim, now 16, reported the abuse to a detective with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police in October of 2022, according to the DA.
The victim said Aleman abused her when she was 8 until she was 12 at her home in Reading.
The DA said further investigation showed Aleman has drilled a hole in the shower wall so he could film the victim in secret.
Investigators recovered videos he'd taken of the victim while she was in the shower naked.
According to the DA, Aleman pled guilty to the rape of a child, two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children, two counts of sexual assault, indecent assault of a person less than 16, indecent assault of a person less than 13, photographing/filming/depicting a sex act on computer, sexual abuse of children/child pornography, criminal use of a communication facility and invasion of privacy.
